Marel Food Systems have secured a 4 x 2 x 2 year lease in the Metroplex Precinct of Borthwick Avenue at a rate of $153 per square metre.
The 1350m²* freestanding building (comprised of 400m² office and 950m² warehouse) is situated on 3933m²* of land, providing enough space for multiple car parking and container/goods storage.
Marel approached Sean O’Connor (Ray White Industrial Milton) off another listing (Queensport Road) in November 2014 with their requirement to move into a much larger building than what they were currently in at Capalaba. After presenting several viable buildings in the trade coast area to them, it was decided in May 2015 that 42 Borthwick Avenue would be their new headquarters for Queensland. Stephen Ferguson was also instrumental in negotiating the deal alongside Sean.
